Adam Wallacavage
PHILADELPHIA, PA
Adam Wallacavage is best known for his surreal octopus chandeliers, created from a variety of materials and techniques including traditional plastering, epoxy clay, epoxy resin, and iridescent powders painted and assembled with lamp parts and found-antiques. With their extravagant ornamentation, his gravity-defying works bend the realm of what’s possible and bridge the gap between fine art and decoration.
Wallacavage attended University of the Arts in Philadelphia, earning a BFA in Photography. An accomplished photographer, he released a fifteen-year retrospective publication of his photographs in a book titled Monster Size Monsters. Wallacavage first exhibited with Arch Enemy Arts in 2014, appearing in several group shows and creating commission pieces for our collectors.
