Brian Mashburn

Brian Mashburn is an oil painter based in Asheville, North Carolina, a setting from which he draws inspiration for his visionary work. Mashburn paints misty landscapes, packed with depth and mystery, that set the stage for his delicately rendered fauna to roam and dream upon. There is a gentle turbulence to the mood Mashburn sets in his paintings, in some moments haunting, in others entrancing. Mashburn studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, receiving a BFA in 2002, and he has been showing with Arch Enemy Arts since 2015.
