Cirius Scion
TORONTO
Cirius Scion is a dark surrealist whose works are inspired by the history, narratives, and techniques of the Old Masters. With a meticulous process of tonal underpainting and the use of metallic and gold leaf, she creates captivating oil paintings that explore concepts of power, royalty, witchcraft, and spirituality. Scion’s playful and bizarre characters are imbued with a unique and unexpected beauty, blending the grotesque with the elegance of the High Renaissance to offer a unique and unexpected perspective.
Also an accomplished filmmaker and digital artist, Scion studied Fashion & Design at Ryerson University in Toronto. She has received printed features in Beautiful Bizarre, Hi-Fructose, and Marika magazines. Scion began exhibiting with Arch Enemy Arts in 2022 after submitting to our 2022 Spotlight Showcase.
