Jasmine Worth
SAN DIEGO, CA
Jasmine Worth is a surrealist painter who combines Catholic iconography, occult symbolism, and old-world painting techniques to confront patriarchal notions of the Feminine Divine. Through a process of repeated underpainting, glazing with mediums similar to those used by the Old Masters, Worth achieves an uncanny figurative treatment that evokes High Renaissance religious painting viewed through a tenacious, contemporary lens.
Worth studied at the Laguna College of Art and Design. She currently lives and works as a painter and tattoo artist in San Diego. Her work is exhibited and collected internationally, and she has been showing with Arch Enemy Arts since 2014.
