Vasilisa Romanenko

CONNECTICUT

Vasilisa Romanenko renders naturalistic fantasies in acrylic on canvas. Inspired by botany, natural history, ornate patterning and textile design, she reverently communicates the majesty of nature. Through careful studies of texture, form, color and composition, her paintings capture the delicate stillness of flora and fauna with elegance, adoration, and whimsy.

Romanenko attributes much of her artistic education to her upbringing; her parents are both artists, and she graduated with a degree in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Romanenko’s work quickly became a staple at Arch Enemy Arts after submitting to our 2020 Spotlight Showcase, and the gallery celebrated her fourth solo feature, after three sold out shows, in March 2025.
