Lara Dann
SOUTH CAROLINA
Lara Dann paints fantastical, saturated portraits of strong, female characters often with intricate, patterned overlays and transparent decorative elements that evoke magic and mysticism. Though not explicitly self-portraits, she defines her work as loosely autobiographical, based on her own internal mythologies and emotional journeys.
Currently based in South Carolina, Dann has lived and worked all over the United States and her work is shown in galleries across the country. Dann has been showing with Arch Enemy Arts since 2015, has appeared in numerous group shows with the gallery, and will celebrate her first solo feature in November 2024.
